| 1. | Time Limit for Forms/Weapons/Team/Self-Defense: Time Limit: 3 minutes from the moment you step into the ring. If a player goes over the 3 minute time limit he/she will be disqualified. |

Uniform: ALL DIVISIONS must wear a traditional or sport karate uniform. You must wear your belt with your uniform. |

Music: Divisions where music is optional - You must provide your own music player. The volume can not distract the other rings. Absolutely no profanity or vulgar music dialog will be allowed. Performing with music with profanity or vulgar dialog will lead to the player being disqualified. |

Staging and Order of Performance: All competitors are must be present when the division is first staged. If the competitor is unavailable they must send a representative to check-in for them. The order of performance is determined by luck of draw. When it is your turn to perform you must be prepared to begin. If you are competing in another ring you must have a representative check-in with the scorekeeper. We will hold the ring for you. If for any other reason you are not at your ring at the time of performance you will be given 2 minutes to arrive before you are disqualified. |

All safety gear must be in good condition. If there is too much wear and tear on the gear you will be asked to replace it in 2 minutes or less or be disqualified. |

ABSOLUTELY NO JEWELERY is to be worn in any division. |

All arbitrations require a $20 cash fee. If you win the arbitration you will receive your $20 back. If you lose, you will not get a refund! Only verified coaches (coach’s pass) will be allowed to file complaints for arbitration in a courteous and respectful manner. All arbitrations must be started before the division ends. Once competition resumes from arbitration, decisions are FINAL. |

Coaching: Allow one coach in coaches box per player-must have coaches wrist band. Allowed one 10 second time out, called by player or coach when the action is stopped. Coaches may not make ANY contact with the player. |

Penalties: Excessive contact, illegal contact, illegal techniques, contact to non-scoring areas, hitting after a call to stop, out of bounds, dropping to the floor to avoid fighting and unsportsmanlike conduct are subject to penalty points or disqualification by the center judge or with a majority vote by the judges. Any blood drawn due to contact results in disqualification. No blind techniques or intentional stabs to the throat. |

Allowable Techniques: All kicks, punches, back fists, knife hands, ridge hands, sweeps to the back or side of the lower front leg (no sweeps against the joint). Grabs up to 3 seconds, spins and aerials. No blind techniques. |

Downed Opponent: Players have 3 seconds to score when one player is down. Any kicking motions towards the head and punching making head contact to a downed opponent are illegal. One point will be awarded over. |

Contact: Light or no contact to the head. Moderate or light to the body. Techniques within the 3 inch zone. Light touch-no blood. Moderate touch-slight penetration of opponent-no blood. EXCESSIVE-extreme penetration, possible swelling, redness or bleeding. |

Penalties: Excessive contact, illegal contact, illegal techniques, contact to non-scoring areas, hitting after a call to stop, out of bounds, dropping to the floor to avoid fighting and unsportsmanlike conduct are subject to penalty points or disqualification by the center judge or with a majority vote by the judges. Any blood drawn due to contact results in disqualification. No blind techniques. |

Point & Penalty: A point can be given to one player and a penalty point to the other at one calling, thus giving a player two points when scores are called at a break. However, a point and a penalty point cannot be given to the same player by one judge. |
